The Golf Channel bio says:
Raul Cendoya and Jameica Duncombe have developed a close bond in a short amount of time that transcends their love of golf. Jameica's father, a longtime teaching professional, worked alongside Raul at Bonaventure Country Club, and introduced the two four years ago. Despite their differences in age and personality, they have developed a special friendship.
Before starting a career in golf, Raul was a professional bowler, competing on local and regional circuits in South Florida. After burning out at age 21, Raul transitioned his passion and focus to golf. He started on the retail side of the industry before joining Bonaventure Country Club, where "Big Break III" and "Big Break VII" contestant Valeria Ochoa recruited him to teach. Today, he is assistant golf professional at Bonaventure Country Club, and was the 2007 South Florida PGA Apprentice Champion his proudest golf moment to date.
"I'm a golf junkie," said Raul. "In any sport I always have been competitive. I constantly work on my game, and I am very proud of my accomplishments thus far, having not taking up golf until my 20s."
Growing up in Nassau, Bahamas, Jameica was introduced to the game of golf by her father, who was head professional at Paradise Island Golf Club (now part of Atlantis Resort). She started playing golf at 3, and competed in her first event at 5. By her 10th birthday, she won her first of seven Bahamian Junior Amateur tournaments and first of nine Bahamian Womens Amateur events.
