Leading the way is the high-end, limited-production-run World Class Collection, whose suggested retail price is $400 per pair and which is, understandably, aimed at the most discriminating of golfers.
The World Class Collection, ECCO says, uses the highest quality and most comfortable leather with plenty of built-in luxuries. "Specifically," the company says, "the shoes are designed for increased stability, arch support and durability, while Gore-Tex ensures optimal water resistance and durability."
The ECCO 2005 Spring/Summer Collection also features plenty of new options for women golfers. In the company's words, "ECCO offers image-conscious female golfers the chance to be the envy of their foursome."
ECCO's offerings for women in 2005 feature a sporty sole construction with multiple pre-molded traction bars for optimum grip. Leather uppers and new color combinations make for a dynamic look.
The collection features 10 models and 27 color combinations for men, and eight models with 29 color combinations for women.
New 2005 models for men include the Classic Apron, Classic City, Casual Sneaker GTX and Sport Accelerator; for women, the Classic "E" GTX, Sport Dynasty and Sport Supreme.
The prices range from $120 up to the $400 for the World Class Collection.
