Hippo Hex TX Driver

Hippo Golf's next iteration of the Hex2 driver is the Hex TX, which incorporates the hexagonal head shape that gives the line its name. The clubhead has a V-slot sole and side slots that provide aerodynamic benefits, the company says, helping promote faster clubhead speed. The multi-step crown saves weight, which can be respositioned to the rear corners using two 4-gram weight ports.

Hippo says the Hex TX has the highest MOI of any of its drivers, and produces a tighter shot dispersion than previous Hex models.

The Hippo Hex TX driver comes with the Mitsubishi Rayon CP4 shaft, or with the option of ugrading to a Grafalloy ProLaunch Platinum shaft. The driver is available in RH only, with lofts of 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degrees. Left-handed models will become available in June 2008. The MSRP is $249 with the Mitsubishi shaft, or $299 with the Grafalloy.
