Nickent Wedges
The original Nickent ARC wedges were introduced in 2004. The new version, according to designer John Hoeflich, is one that "look(s) like a blade and play(s) like a cavity back."

Indeed, there is no cavity back on the new ARC wedge, which carries a more traditional tour-preferred shape. Instead, there is something Nickent calls "hidden perimeter weighting." To understand that, begin by knowing what "ARC" stands for: "accelerated rebound core."

Inside the ARC clubhead, positioned behind the sweet spot, is a high-rebound elastomer core - the "ARC" - that Nickent claims helps produce that good ol' cavity back feel in a club that looks like a blade. The elastomer core also dampens vibration.

One small detail is that on the back of the clubhead, there are three "windows" - small portals to the interior of the club through which the elastomer is visible.

The new Nickent ARC wedges are available in lofts of 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60 and 62 degrees, and carry and MSRP of $139 per club.
