Cleveland Golf is gearing up for the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show later this month by unveiling some of the products it will be officially introducing during the show.
Among the new-for-2005 items from Cleveland are:
Launcher Comp Fairway Woods
The Launcher Comp Fairway Woods use an ultra-lightweight tri-ply carbon-fiber crown. In English, that means the top of the clubhead is lighter, so more weight can be added to locations around the clubhead that are lower and deeper. That lowers the center of gravity to promote a higher launch angle and less backspin. Other weighting properties help promote a higher moment of inertia, which helps on off-center strikes.
The MSRP on the Launcher Comp fairway woods is $390 and they will begin shipping on February 15, 2005.
Halo Utility Club
With a stainless steel body and Carpenter steel face, the Halo provides a higher MOI, lower center of gravity and larger sweet spot, making it much easier to hit than traditional long irons.
The Halo's MSRP is $191 for graphite and $150 for the steel-shafted model. The Halo is scheduled to begin shipping February 1, 2005.
CG2 Irons
The Cleveland CG2 Irons are geared to the low to mid-handicappers who seek a little more forgiveness while maintaining the workability of a blade. They are perimeter-weighted and have a small cavity-back
design for increased control with added forgiveness.
The MSRP on the CG2 irons is $999 and they will begin shipping on February 1, 2005.
