La Jolla Club Golf Company today announced that it has introduced its new MB (Mid-Back) Irons. The irons will begin shipping November 1, 2004.

"The MB Irons are a combination of tradition and technology," says Paul Herber, President, La Jolla Club Golf Company. "The classic profile and traditional head shape combine with perimeter weighting for a great looking and performing club."

La Jolla Club has designed the MB Iron for players who prefer the look, feel and playability of a traditional iron, but want the forgiveness, lower center of gravity and trajectory of a perimeter weighted club. This new iron features a 431 stainless steel traditional head design with perimeter weighting to combine feel and workability with distance and forgiveness on off-center hits.

The irons are available in a set including 3-9 irons and a pitching wedge. A 2-iron and sand wedge is also available individually. Steel shafts are available in L, R and S flexes.

The MSRP for the eight-club set is $299. The MSRP for the 2-iron and sand wedge is $34.99 each.
