Cleveland W-Series Lineup
The W-Series is Cleveland's line of clubs designed specifically for women, and most of the elements of that lineup have been updated for 2007:
- W-Series HiBore XL Driver: The new W-Series HiBore XL driver has a lower crown, lower center of gravity and larger sweet spot than previous versions. Its MOI is 15-percent greater than the previous version. Available in 11.5- or 16-degree lofts with MSRP of $390.
- W-Series HiBore Fairway Woods: Feature a larger face area and the highest MOI of any Cleveland fairway wood. Available lofts are 18.5, 20 and 22 degrees, and MSRP is $275.
- W-Series HiBore Hybrid: Fifteen percent more weight is relocated to the rear skirt, pumping up the forgiveness. Also boasts a larger face area and sweet spot than previous models. Available lofts are 22, 25, 28 and 31 degrees, with MSRP of $235.
- W-Series HiBore Irons: This 8-club set combines elements of hybrids with elements of traditional irons to come up with a more forgiving, stronger game-improvement set. The MSRP is $767.
- W-Series 588 RS Wedge: An extra-large "recovery sole" and a very low center of gravity are designed to help golfers who struggle on sand shots by helping the ball get up quicker. Available in 60-degree loft only with an MSRP of $128 (graphite shaft) or $119 (steel shaft).

Lija Fall 2007 Apparel Collection
Golf and sportswear designer Linda Hipp has new styles featuring jewel-tone colors and "dynamic, whimsical prints" ready for the Fall 2007 collection from her company, Lija. Nearly 200 pieces are available in four lines called Amethyst Ice, Emerald Rain, Ruby Fire and Sapphire Sky. Those pieces include polos, t-shirts, sweaters, vests, jackets, pants, capris, shorts, skorts and track suits, which are accented by creative details such as multi-colored buttons, snaps, color blocking and the unique placement of stitch lines and zippers. Buster Reverse-Taper Grips
Buster Golf Grips offers what it calls the "original reverse-taper grips." Reverse-taper grips have shown up from a few other companies recently. Buster's are 1-inch in diameter at the bottom and 3/4-inch at the top. Made of a thermoplastic elastomeric material, they are designed to remain soft and tacky in all weather conditions, and also to absorb more vibration created at impact.
The concept behind reverse-taper grips is that a grip smaller at the top and larger at the bottom fits more naturally in the hands; the grip shape helps the top hand control the swing while the lower hand releases more easily.
