Cobra's newest wedges, the King Cobra C Wedge line, features an undercut cavity and expanded "sweet zone," two different types of soles (wide or mid), and are designed to fit a wide range of golfers.
The Mid-Sole C Wedges focus on forgiveness, soft feel and versatility; the Wide-Sole C Wedges offer higher bounces and more forgiveness.
"The C Wedges are designed with wider sole widths to promote greater forgiveness and versatility vs. traditional muscle back wedges and complement todays wider sole irons," said Jeff Harmet, President, Cobra Golf. "These wedges offer the combination of a classic look and feel with cavity back performance benefits."
The slightly oversized heads of the King Cobra C Wedges are constructed from 431 Stainless Steel. An undercut design with perimeter weighting helps position the weight low and in the back of the clubhead for a low center of gravity and high moment of inertia. These factors increase the sweet spot in golf clubs, help golfers get the ball airborne and add more forgiveness. The clubheads also feature a vibration-dampening urethane insert.
King Cobra C Wedges are available with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and feature a Cobra/Golf Pride Tour Velvet 50D grip. All wedges are available in both right and left hand. The Mid-Sole C Wedges are available in five different lofts (50, 52, 54, 56, 60 degrees), while the Wide-Sole C Wedges come in three different lofts (56, 58, 60 degrees).
The wedges carry an MSRP of $99 per club.
